蘇格拉底(Socrates)

04年9月攝於雅典(雅典大學)的「蘇格拉底(Socrates) (公元前469 - 公元前399)」雕像。生於差不多2,500年前，並哲學地渡過其傳奇一生。

蘇格拉底和他的學生「柏拉圖(Plato)」，以及柏拉圖的學生「亞里士多德(Aristole)」被稱為「希臘三賢」。

身為雅典的公民，據記載蘇格拉底最後被雅典法庭以不信神和腐蝕雅典青年思想之罪名判處死刑。

儘管他曾獲得逃亡雅典的機會，但蘇格拉底仍選擇飲下「毒堇汁」而死，因為他認為逃亡只會進一步破壞雅典法律的權威，同時也是因為擔心他逃亡後雅典將再沒有好的導師可以教育人們了。
